CELEBRATING 30 YEARS OF FURNISTORE
We were delighted to celebrate our 30th Anniversary throughout 2025 with a number of fantastic events.
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported Furnistore over the years and joined us in the celebrations. We especially appreciate our team of dedicated staff and volunteers; your hard work has allowed us to assist countless families in need of furniture and household goods.
FURNISTORE AGM & 30th ANNIVERSARY
A huge thank you to everyone who joined our AGM and 30th anniversary celebration at the Town Hall—it was a fantastic evening!
Special thanks to the Mayor of Reigate and Banstead for hosting, and to Rebecca Paul MP, Chair of Mole Valley Roger Adams, and the Mayor of Epsom and Ewell, Robert Leach, for recognising our work.
Over the past three decades, we’ve provided furniture and household goods to those in need, making a real difference in people’s lives while helping the environment by reducing landfill waste.
We’re incredibly proud of all we’ve achieved over 30 years. None of it would be possible without our amazing staff, volunteers, donors, and supporters—thank you for your time, hard work, and dedication.
Furnistore is more than a charity; it’s a family. Thank you for making this event so special.
MACMILLAN COFFEE MORNING
Thank you to everyone for getting involved and making our annual Macmillan coffee morning a success!
We are delighted to share that in excess of £182.50 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support.
VOLUNTEER AWARDS 2025
We’re thrilled to share that two of our amazing volunteers, Geoff and Gary, were honoured at the Mayor of Reigate & Banstead Volunteer Awards 2025! 🏆
Geoff received the Long Service Award for over 10 years of dedicated service. From PAT testing to supporting our Men in Sheds group, Geoff’s wisdom, humour, and commitment inspire us all. Earlier this year, we celebrated his 80th birthday surrounded by fellow volunteers — a fitting tribute to a wonderful man.
Gary won the Individual Volunteer Award! Since joining us three years ago, he’s become an essential part of the warehouse team. Always first in and ready to help, Gary’s attention to detail and kind nature make him a joy to work with.
Thank you, Geoff and Gary, for everything you do — you truly show that we’re a little charity with a big heart.
FURNISTORE FUN DAY
Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate our 30th anniversary at our fantastic Fun Day on Saturday 5th July!
A special thanks to the Deputy Mayor of Reigate & Banstead for joining us, and to those who generously donated raffle prizes:

FURNISTORE 30th ANNIVERSARY
Furnistore proudly celebrated its 30th anniversary with a special visit from the Deputy Mayor of the Borough of Reigate and Banstead. It was a joyful afternoon spent with our trustees, volunteers, and Men in Sheds, reflecting on three decades of dedication to supporting families in need and strengthening our community.
A highlight of the day was the presentation of a lifetime achievement award to our remarkable trustee, Freda Clark, in recognition of her outstanding service and commitment. We were honoured to have the Deputy Mayor present the award and unveil a commemorative plaque, marking this milestone in Furnistore’s inspiring journey.

We’re delighted to announce that three of our amazing volunteers were recognised at this year’s Reigate & Banstead Volunteer Awards!
🏆 Callum – Young Volunteer Award
Callum joined Furnistore two years ago and has shown outstanding personal growth. Once shy and hesitant, he’s now a proactive, positive team member who guides new volunteers and inspires others through his progress and determination.
🏆 Shawn – Volunteer Award
Shawn has been a valued member of our van crew for five years. Despite his learning difficulties and ADHD, he tackles every challenge with enthusiasm — from lifting heavy furniture to brightening customers’ days with his cheerful attitude and dedication.
🏆 Mary – Long Service Award
For 13 years, Mary has cared for our soft furnishings and prepared hygiene packs for those in need. Her positivity, laughter, and commitment to high standards make her an inspiration to everyone at Furnistore.
